David Bowie New Album: Singer Releases 42 Words on 'The Next Day' Album

Legendary artist David Bowie recently released a brand new album titled The Next Day. Bowie made headlines back on January 8 when the 66-year-old released a brand new single titled, "Where Are We Now?" Bowie has been extremely quiet about the new album, so much so, that his first 42 words about the album weren't released until just recently.

Writer Rick Moody convinced Bowie to break his silence on the new album, which has been widely praised by critics and fans. So instead of a traditional radio interview or magazine cover article, Bowie released 42 words.

Here is a selection of the words used by David Bowie:
Effigies
Indulgences
Anarchist
Violence
Chthonic
Intimidation
Vampyric

Rock legend David Bowie has gone all religious on his fans if his latest video is anything to go by. David Bowie was on the set of his latest music video for The Next Day in New York in monk robes, flat shoes and a long brown scarf.

Bowie, who has released 24 albums spanning a thirty year career, even roped in his old pal Gary Oldman to star in the music video.

Religious: David Bowie slipped into a monks outfit for filming of his new video The Next Day

For all you fans hoping for a tour you may have to wait. It doesn't sound like Bowie will be touring any time soon, although his wife Iman did recently hint in an interview that it is a possibility. With the single and album being released and music video currently being shot, the last ball to drop is the tour. Despite their being no confirmed reports that any sort of tour will happen, it isn't out of the question.

So lets all hope that a tour happens, why not support the legend that is David Bowie with one of our T-shirts:
